Frequently asked questions

The things people ask us most, about buying tickets, getting in, refunds, and running an event of your own.

Buying tickets

Do I need an account to buy a ticket?

No. You can check out as a guest. We create an account against your email address so your ticket has somewhere to live, and you can activate it later by setting a password or adding a passkey.

Which payment methods can I use?

The methods available depend on the organizer and are shown at checkout. Some events are paid offline instead — in that case the organizer confirms your payment manually and your ticket is issued once they do.

Are there booking fees?

Any service or processing fee is shown in the order summary before you confirm. Nothing is added after checkout.

Can I buy tickets for other people?

Yes. Enter each attendee's name and email during checkout and their ticket is issued in their name. Some events limit how many tickets one person may buy.

My payment failed but I was charged. What now?

Most failed payments leave a pending authorization that drops off your statement within a few business days. If a real charge went through without a ticket, email us with the date and amount and we will trace and refund it.

Tickets and entry

Where is my ticket?

It is emailed to the address on the order right after payment, and it is always available in your account under My Events. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder first, then contact us.

Do I need to print it?

No. The QR code on your phone is enough. Print it if you prefer — either works at the door.

Can I send my ticket to someone else?

Where the organizer allows transfers, yes — ask them to change the name on the ticket, or contact us with the order number and the new attendee's details. Reselling above face value is not allowed and voids the ticket.

What if I lose the email?

Sign in and open My Events. Every ticket you hold is there, along with the event details and any documents the organizer has shared.

How do online events work?

The joining link is released to confirmed ticket holders only, and appears on your ticket page ahead of the start. Do not forward it — each ticket admits one person.

Your account

I have a ticket but cannot sign in.

An account created for you at checkout stays inactive until you set a credential. Use the "forgot password" link with the email on your order to set a password, and you are in. Your ticket works either way.

Can I sign in without a password?

Yes — you can add a passkey and sign in with your device's biometrics or PIN instead. Two-factor authentication is also available.

How do I change the email on my order?

Contact us before the event with the order number and the correct address. Changing your account email does not move tickets already issued to a different address.

Refunds and changes

Can I get a refund?

That depends on the refund policy of the specific event, which is set by the organizer and shown on the event page. If the event is cancelled you are refunded in full. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the baseline we apply.

The event moved to a new date. What are my options?

Your ticket stays valid for the new date automatically. If the new date does not work for you, request a refund within 14 days of the change being announced, or before the rescheduled event begins, whichever is first.

How long does a refund take?

We initiate approved refunds within 5 business days. Your bank then typically takes another 5 to 14 business days to post it back to the original payment method.

Certificates

How do I get my certificate?

If the organizer issues certificates, yours appears in your account after the event once your attendance is recorded. You will be notified when it is ready.

How can someone verify my certificate?

Every certificate carries a unique verification link and QR code. Anyone can open it to confirm the certificate is genuine and has not been revoked, without needing an account.

Running an event

How do I list my event on EventMU?

Email us at with your organization and a sentence about the event, and we will get you set up.

When do I get paid?

Payouts go to your verified account on the schedule agreed with you, after the hold period that covers refunds and chargebacks, net of fees and any referral commission owed.

Can my team help without seeing everything?

Yes. Team access is role-based, so a volunteer can scan tickets at the door without seeing sales figures or attendee reports.

Can I check people in without internet at the venue?

Check-in scans against your event's attendee list in the browser. Plan for connectivity at the door, and contact us in advance if the venue is difficult — we can advise on the safest setup for your event.

Still stuck?

Questions about a specific event go to its organizer — their details are on the event page. Anything about the platform, a payment, or an account comes to us.
